Welcome to the Northwoods Figure Skating Club!

Summer Skating is Here!

  • There will be five Sunday nights available: July 6th, July 13th, July 20th, July 27th, August 3rd
    • From 6-7pm, the ice will be for our Snow Plow-Basic 6 Skaters. *Coaches will be available to assist the skaters with their moves, but there will not be structured lessons.  Our goal is to get our skaters back on the ice after a number of months off.
    • From 7-8pm, the ice will be for our Pre-Free through Free Style Skaters (Free Style are those that have passed out of Free Skate 6).  Again, this is a time for our advanced skaters to get back on the ice.

Because there are no structured lessons, it is especially important that all skaters understand they must be respectful of each others space.  Also, respecting the ice time and using it wisely.

There is a flat fee of $80 per skater.  They can then attend as many or as few sessions as they wish to attend.  In addition, though, Memberships through US Figure Skating also come due on July 1st.  So all skaters will also need to complete their Membership as well.

To register for Summer Ice and Membership, please visit the Go Motion Website:

https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/winfsc/page/system/classreg-shopping

You will then skip over the information from last year and scroll down to Membership and Summer Skills Work.  You will need to add both to your cart.  In terms of the Membership, if your skater will be competing this year, please make sure to select the Free Style Membership ($73).  Otherwise, you can select the Existing Membership ($37).  Once you put the Membership in your cart, you will then be able to switch it to the Free Syle Membership if need be.

If you have any questions at all, please let me know.  Remember, registration is ONLY OPEN NOW-JULY 1st!!  Please make sure to register as soon as possible if your skater(s) would like to participate.

  •  2026 Show Dates to be March 14-15, 2026.  Mark your calendars:)  Our first session of lessons will start in Rice Lake in September, with Cumberland to follow later in the fall.  Be on the lookout for more information.

The Northwoods Figure Skating Club (NFSC) is a non-profit, non-stock incorporated organization whose purpose is to encourage instruction, practice and advancement of its members in all types of figure skating and basic hockey skating concepts. NFSC was founded in 1989 and skates at the Cumberland and Rice Lake Hockey Arenas.

NFSC is an official member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA), the governing body of amateur skating in the United States. This association entitles the local skaters to conduct and participate in official USFSA test sessions, competitions and ice shows.

Along with taking lessons with NFSC, many of our skaters participate in USFSA testing and competitions. Our Free Style skaters have a strong presence at the Northland Competition in Duluth, Roseville Competition, Maplewood Classic, Eau Claire Competition and many more!

NFSC accepts skaters throughout the year. Our club consists of all skill levels from ages 4 and up. We are always looking to grow our participation in the club. Questions regarding the NFSC can be directed to info@northwoodsfsc.com.
